Peter can deliver a wide variety of different creative workshops for schools and comunity settings.

Projects are panned and unique to your requirements and can be made to enhance any topic.

Experience in working with a wide range of ages groups and special educational need, Peter can offer workshops ranging from Junk Instrument making to ICT,  Sound Installations to Composition. Workshops encourage independent though, learning creatively and team building.

Also Peter Maxwell Dixon is available to work as a consultant to plan and enhance learning though creative usages of technology.

Here are some examples of workshops that Peter has developed and delivered.

Science of Sound / Junk Instruments

Working in a whole school intervention at Twickenham Primary School with the theme of Fantasy, Peter worked with the Year 3 class on a science of sound based project tieing in coded messages left by “the monsters”, throughout the week developed instruments from Junk and computer packages to investigate the fantasy monster week.

 

 Baxter TV

Working with a group of Year 9 students from Baxter College, Kidderminster, Peter developed the ideas and technology for the site for there college TV station. Fundamentally working with Vimeo as a data source, a site’s functionality was developed and designed.

Garageband – Sound Effects for a Storybook

In collaboration with Get On The Radio, one of the introduction workshops that Peter delivers regularly is a class recording project that takes a short book or section and records the class reading the text in, then add sound effects / folay to the recording to make the story come alive.
